The largest monuments treasury of musical culture, that is absolutely unique, celebrates 100-th anniversary in 2012. Central Museum of Musical Culture, Museum of S.S. Prokofiev, Museum “Tchaikovsky and Moscow”, Memorial Estate of F.I. Chaliapin, Museum-Apartment of N.S. Golovanov, Museum-Apartment of A.B. Goldenweiser – are the branches of the National Museum Consortium. There are about 1 million items in the museum funds. Among them are the unique musical instruments, manuscripts, and documents, musicians’ personal stuff, books and sheets. Fund of audio- and video records is also quite numerous; collection of arts could have compose several art museums exposures. Fund research studies and incorporation of unknown and forgotten works to scientific and cultural rotations are conducted in the Museum Consortium. Unique musical instruments state collection of Russian Federation – the largest stringed instruments collection of masters from different countries and epochs, among which are the masterpieces of A. Stradivari, the Guarneris, Amati – was included to The Glinka National Museum Consortium of Musical Culture in June, 2012. The Museum Consortium has its own modern recording studio and concert halls. The Central Museum (4, Fadeev str., Moscow) has the oldest organ by master F. Ladegast and organ by A. Schuke. Permanent exhibitions, subscription cycles, excursions, temporary exhibitions and concerts, master classes and interactive sessions are constantly held in all museums of the Consortium.
